*Our unique grade for cut makes it easy for you, by taking all of the measurements of the proportions and finsih of a diamond and assigning a grade.
We have three different grades - AAA, AA, A, with AAA being the best. To receive a AAA grade in cut , a diamond not only has to meet certain numerical criteria, but also, it has to have the right brilliance, sparkle, and fire.
This grading system will help you compare without having to be a gemologist. We can also fax, or mail, you a copy of the original lab grading report, which shows the full details of the diamond.
**MOUNTING - If you would like to purchase a diamond ring please view some samples in our Ring & JewelryGallery or if you prefer a traditional solitaire mounting (pictured below) in 14K please add between $65- $95 depending on the size and shape of diamond, in platinum add from $150 and up, or 14K Shank with a platinum head from $125. Prices vary based on cneter stone size and thickness of the band you would like.
***APPRAISAL - We do not give appraisals on merchandise that we sell. Just like you would do with a house or any other valuable item, you should have an appraisal done by someone who is not connected to the sale and does not buy or sell diamonds or jewelry. They should just grade it & appraise it so there will not be any conflict of interest.
We use the two well-known & most trusted laboratory for appraisals - Universal Gemological Laboratories, UGL & International Gemological Institute, IGI. They are known for their integrity and fair value of diamonds and diamond jewelry. Keep in mind that if you planned on insuring your diamond, you will need an appraisal. It helps later on if, G-d forbid, you should have a loss, you will not have to argue with your insurance adjuster about who appraised your diamond, since you will have an independent apprasial availible, not an appraisal from the store you bought it from.
